Dear users, contributors and interested parties, after lots of effort we are very proud to provide charts, tiles and data of Bulgaria to the general public, under the “OFM Data User License” - free use of OFM data for private and commercial purposes - updated to todays AIRAC cycle (1612), November 10th 2016. Highly qualified local contributors from Bulgaria are taking the challenge and will provide all necessary data updates in the future, to keep the OFM Database current and make it the most reliable and updated one for flights under VFR.

Publication of Slovenia (LJLA) is scheduled for 13th of October 2016! Full set of export features will be provided.

New OFMA Charts Available at RocketRoute Introduction Starting from the 3rd of June RocketRoute has included OFMA 1:500k VFR charts into all memberships free of charge. The charts are available for 4 countries, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, and Germany. The OFMA charts are accessible on a tablet, smartphone devices or web. Accessibility View charts on the desktop, on tablet iOS and Android devices, on iOS and Android smartphones: Charts are renewed according to AIRAC cycle.

how to install charts on the “Flight Assistant” app

Flight Assistant is a freely available application for android tablets and phones. The application has a lot of features in terms of flightplanning but this short instruction will only explain how the “mbtiles” format can be loaded.

OFMA Aeronautical Charts OFMA Charts are provided on all regional websites in PDF Format, in high quality vector format with our without a hybrid basemap. 1:500 000 scale Charts: Each country or region may have more, but has at least one Chart of scale 1:500 000. It is intended that all available charts of a region cover the entire region. Other scales In case of other requirements in terms of scale we there may be Charts available in scale 1:100 000 or 1:250 000.

Final preparation of Romania/Moldova Launch date of Romania and Moldova (LRBB/LUUU) has been set to August 18th, we are currently finalizing last changes and updates. Romania will go online with a complete features set. A new Tile product to make the data easily usable on established applications will be provided. here an example of the application “flight assistant”, showing “OFM mbtiles format”.

Enroute Chart Layout 2.0 - Notes The most of the following suggestions will be implemented. Some amendments will require a global repositioning of labels, others can be done quickly. In this regard implementation will be executed in two levels: Level 1: implementation of changes with no effect to labelpositions Level 2: all other changes, which will require repositioning and regional dependencies. OFMA Charts are finally available in RocketRoute Dear Users and Contributors, 1:500k charts have been made available a few days ago and can be accessed through the RocketRoute Shop - free of charge. OFM Charts available in Rocketroute Starting Friday 3rd of June, RocketRoute, the most innovative flight planning service, will include all of the available OFM 1:500K VFR charts in their in-app shop - free of charge. Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Germany are available from the start, but within the next two months two more countries will be added to the list, and it is probable that this rhythm of expansion will continue.

map engine update The first small update on the OFM map engine has been installed - based on feedback from the AERO tradefare. Bigger fonts (especially vertical limit) TMA and CTR labels have been set to a slightly bigger font for better readability.
