Italy was published on june 21st (1807)

Openflightmaps will once again add another territory, Italy, to the countries covered by the project. This will take the new total up to 19 countries supported by the project.

It is important to emphasize that each one of these 19 territories require constant and rigorous maintenance, to ensure that all of the information is always current. The rate of progress is encouraging, since so far three new territories have been added in 2018, and there are some more in the pipeline.

In early April 2018 openflightmaps will once again add another territory, Finland, to the countries covered by the project. This will take the new total up to 18 countries supported by the project. With Finland the openflightmaps project reaches into the Artic Circle, the furthest north of all of the territories supported by openflightmaps.

It is important to emphasize that each one of these 18 territories require constant and rigorous maintenance, to ensure that all of the information is always current. The rate of progress is encouraging, since so far two new territories have been added in 2018, and there are some more in the pipeline.

As from March 7, 2018, a new country, Slovakia, will be added to the countries covered by the OFM Project.

Following this new addition, a total of 17 countries are now covered by OFM.

Finland progressing

Big steps are being made to bring the data in finland up to publication level. We plan to issue the region within the next cycles - thanks to the AOPA Finland - main OFM contributor of this work. Here are some preview pictures of the Helsinki area:

Dear Users and contributors, Finally we have added another two countries to the OFM Universe, Greece and Namibia. Data and Charts are online already, jobs for tiles are also being setup already, even if this will take a few more days. Here are some screenshots from the new Charts: Greece: Namibia

Čtyři nové země dostupné na OFM Od dalšího cyklu AIRAC, tedy od 20. července 2017, budou na mapách OFM mapovány 4 další země. Jedná se o následující země: Chorvatsko Česká republika Nizozemsko Polsko To znamená, že celkem 14 zemí v Evropě nyní pokrývá OFM. Jsme velmi rádi za tento pokrok, protože to znamená, že jsme začlenili do naší skupiny lidi, kteří jsou schopni dokončit údržbu dat OFM. Zkušenost nám ukázala, že je relativně jednoduché zadat základní údaje pro zemi poprvé, ale náročnější je zajistit neustálou ktuálnost dat.

4 New Countries available on OFM As from the next AIRAC cycle, on July 20, 2017, there Will be 4 more countries covered by the OFM maps. These countries are as follows: Croatia Czech Republic Netherlands and Poland This means that a total of 14 countries in Europe are now covered by OFM. We are very pleased with this progress, because it means that we have incorporated into our group people who are able to complete the maintenance of the OFM data.

Important notice for all users of the printed version of Austrocontrol`s 1:500k VFR Chart for 2017. As announced via NOTAM, some errors were detected on the printed version of A ustrocontrol`s ICAO 1:500k VFR Chart (Austrian ANSP). This NOTAM considers the following corrections: Unfortunately, the corrections made in this NOTAM message are still not completely correct: class Delta of LOWI TMA and N CTA – vertical lower limit should include the “or at least 1000 FT GND” and “or at least 1500 FT GND“ minimum, as formulated accordingly in the AIP.

THR 08L and RWY 26R END will be displaced by 1250 m. Accordingly to the shortening of the runway, the following modifications are to be operated: - temporary displaced THR 08L and RWY 26R END coordinates are : 443440.11N 0260559.
